Installing Window Treatments for Sliding Doors

Window treatments for sliding doors – Sliding glass doors bring light to a room and give a great extended view of the outdoors. However, the angle of sunlight or proximity to neighbors often requires a good window of treatment for the convenience of homeowners. Most styles of draperies and curtains work well for sliding doors, with the change of open curtains from the handle side of the door. Measure the width of the sliding glass doors from the outside of the door trim. Install a one-way traverse spout at least 4 inches above the door liner. Pull the drawbar straight down on the collection side of the drapery rod.
Mount a tension roller above the hem of the canvas using the supplied screws with the kit. Use wall anchors if you do not screw into a stud. Put the drapery pin into the canvas sewing on the backside of the drapery panel. The drapery pin hook should be 1 inch from the top edge of the screen and centered in the pleat set. Attach the cloth by turning the drapery to meet the room. Insert each additional staple into an adjacent slide until you have two sticks left. The penultimate pin goes into a hole in the front of your collection corner bracket. The last staple sweeps around the attachment corner and cut into the hole closest to the wall. This allows the window treatments for sliding doors to be fixed around the bracket corner, hiding the console.
Measure the width of your traverse spout and add 4 inches. Place the Valance on board brackets down 2 inches above the traverse pole and centered on the rod. Screw the board to the wall by screwing through the brackets to wall rails or wall anchors. Keep the board level with the traverse pole. Measure the side of the screen edge card and multiply by two. Staple the edge of the screen to the top of the board. Begin in the middle and cling to the corners keeping your coat level. Linda Valance round the corner with a nice fold on the top and finish stapling for window treatments for sliding doors.
