Loft bunk bed with desk – Many people live in small spaces, and you may need to be creative in designing your living room in such a way that you can accommodate all your activities. It is common to need a desk, for school work, for sewing or for work on a hobby. If you have a small space that will not let you put both your bed and your desk on the floor, build a loft bed with a desk downstairs and you have plenty of room. When you finish building, you have a piece that is about 4 meters wide x 7 meters long x 6 meters high. Throw a single mattress on the ceiling and pull a chair up to the flat desktop, which you can use as a written surface or to set your computer on.

Measure and cut timber. To make the frame for the loft bunk bed with desk, you need four 4 x 4 positions (6 meters long) two 2 x 8 pieces about 87 in. Long and two 2 x 8 pieces 48 in. Long. The basis for your mattress will take a piece of 1/2-inch plywood 39 x 75 inches. Secure with wooden screws for safety. Build the desk. On the inside of each 4 x 4 legs, measure and draw a line about 28 in. From the floor, you want to add a 2×8 support under this line. Attach your 2 x 8 supports to the head and the foot ends of your loft bed.
