Purple kitchen cabinet – Painting kitchen cabinets is an easy and affordable way to upgrade the look of a kitchen without extensive remodeling. The days of wood stains and drab colors for kitchen cabinets are out. More homeowners now use bright, vibrant colors to add a splash of color to their kitchen. When you use a color like purple, it is important to get an even coat of paint, which requires properly prepare the cabinets before painting. Purple cabinets work well to different wall colors including basic white, beige, gray and even bold colors like gold. Remove cabinet doors and drawers from the frames. Remove all the knobs, hinges and handles the pieces and put the hardware into a plastic bag. Set drawers and doors in a well-ventilated workspace, such as a garage, on a drop cloth.

Painting purple kitchen cabinet, remove items from kitchen cabinets and countertops, where you will work. Set drop cloths on both floors and countertops to protect against spills. The tape of the area where the cabinet meets the wall with a 2-inch-wide stock of painter’s band. Wash the surface of the cabinet frame, doors and drawers with a solution of TSP and hot water. Cut into the primer around the edges where the cabinet meets painter’s band. Cover the rest of the cabinet surfaces, including doors and drawer fronts, with the primer using roles. Allow the primer to dry overnight. Repeat the procedure for applying the primer, but this time using semi-gloss latex based purple color. Semi-gloss paint is recommended for kitchen cabinets because of its cleaning durability, but also its resistance to mold and mildew. Do not apply a thick layer of purple color, but instead apply a thin layer moving with the grain of the wood in a vertical movement. Let the first coat of paint to dry until it is no longer sticky to the touch. Apply a second coat of purple paint, and be sure to catch a few areas where the purple color is mottled or irregular. Allow the purple kitchen cabinet to dry overnight before replacing the hardware and install the drawers and doors.
