Wooden Legs of a Small Folding Table

A small folding table goes where you go. The legs fold flat under the table for quick storage, and they can be easily unfolded when you need the table. You may make folding legs for any tabletop, including a table that you already have or a tabletop as you do. Use new legs on an existing table and turn the table to a portable option. Take table outside a makeshift picnic table or store it until you need extra counter or table space. The folding table leg works with almost any tabletop.
Wooden legs of a small folding table. Place four wooden panels measuring 2 of 2 to 28 on a flat surface. Sand all sides of the wood with fine sandpaper, leaving smooth wood free of splinters and flaws. The discs act as the folding legs on your table. Dip a foam brush into a can of wood stain that matches your table top and brush over the wood. Brush the stain with the natural grain of the wood. After 60 seconds, wipe off the excess stain with a cloth. Turn on the wood, and repeat on each page. Repeat this step with each leg. Open a folding leg bracket so that it resembles a capital L. Place the bracket flat against the end of the table leg and slide down the leg until it is flush with the end of the bone.
Turn the table top upside down. Close the clips on each leg and place them upside down on the table. The upper part of the bracket to touch the table. Move your legs around the table until each one is about 2 inches from the edge of the table. Open a console, raising the leg straight up and put the upper metal piece of the bracket flat against the table. Screw 2:01 1/2 inch wood screws through the bracket and into the wooden tabletop. Repeat this step with the remaining three legs. Turn the table over and use it. When you want to fold the legs in, press down on each one until it is level with the table. Does the project even easier by using ready-made table legs, available from most DIY stores. The bones of this project are 28 inches long, which is suitable for a dining room or kitchen table. Reduce leg size for snack chips or a small folding table.
